My power is back and
my daughter is moved into her apartment for college. Phew. What a whirlwind over the last three days! You should have seen me—I assembled a futon bed frame, an IKEA bookcase, and a desk chair; and I hung a mirror on the wall which required about ten mistaken holes until I bit the bullet and went to Target for dry wall screws and a level. Voila… moments later a straight, secure mirror appeared on the wall (to cover the ten holes). 🙂 I also discovered that it’s incredibly empowering to use a drill. The pow-ah!
I’ll be getting to all those questions you emailed and want to remind you that if you don’t hear from me within 48 hours, always resend your question. I get a lot of email and occasionally one will fall through the cracks.
Hope your fall is cooling off. Ours is! And it’s amazing just how much I love lightbulbs.
It is amazing how dependent we have become on electricity! Our power was down for 45 hours. I’m not sure much has matched the enjoyment of my first shower after that. Glad yours is back on also. Hope you continue to enjoy turning the little switches by doors and actually having lights come on.
Glad to have you back, Julie!!
