Friday Freewrite: News Photo
Choose a photo from the newspaper or a news magazine. Cut it out and mount it on a plain background (away from the words that were with it).
If you have a clear stand of some sort (photo frame or clear page holder), put it inside on the table top.
Look at it quietly for a few minutes. Then freewrite a list of words to go with the picture. Do that for three minutes.
Then set the timer for seven more minutes and write a paragraph, letter, dialog, or short story using the word list (if relevant).
