A Brave Writer's Life in Brief

Thoughts from my home to yours

My family

I’m so busy revising and uploading back issues and working on the site redesign that I can’t afford a single minute for blogging. However, I have also managed some family time and thought you might like seeing a photo of our current brood. (Getting them all corraled into one end of a backyard, smiling and not mugging at the camera was no small feat with this many teens!).

From Left to Right: Caitrin (11), Jacob (16), Julie (young, all right?), Jon (not as young, but still), Liam (14), Noah (21) and Johannah (18).

Beautiful family — thank you for sharing the pic! And I must say I admire you for having such a flat tummy after having 5 kids : ) !

Is this the same clan whose picture I had on my fridge oh-so-many-moons ago? Some years back you sent me a photo of the kids and ~ this is going to come as real surprise to you ~ they were all younger and smaller! LOL I don’t realize how quickly my own guys are growing up until I see my friends’ children. Time flies, indeed. You’re all lovely, Julie. Wish we could share a bottle of wine and watch the younger set chase fireflies. xoxo

Beautiful photo! What a lovely family – I can’t believe that the little black-curled pixie I met at your home seven years ago is 11! Ask her to catch me a firefly or two this summer — Caitrin was amazed that I had never seen one before.
